Modern features in an historic building
Tracey House combines the old and the new. The building itself dates back to the 1870s but enjoys many modern features to make Residents' life here enjoyable including stair-lift, a lift and comfortable furnishings.
The latest addition to our facilities have been to provide wireless internet access throughout the home. We have an iPad available for staff and resident use.
In and around Tracey House
We possess two attractive lounges overlooking the rear gardens with individual armchairs for all our Residents. Each has either a colour television, a stereo system or piano. The smaller of the two lounges was extended in 2000 and is now a spacious sun lounge providing panoramic views of the garden and surrounding countryside. It has four individual seating areas and a private section for hairdressing and chiropody services. An additional bathroom with an integral bath hoist adjoins the sun lounge. Our lounges are available all day and are used to serve refreshments late in the morning, during the afternoon and early evening.
The dining room is situated in the main part of the house with tables for 2 – 5 place settings.
There is a passenger lift in the hall and a private telephone area.
Work on the drive, car parks and courtyard was completed in 1996. From the driveway there is direct access to the smaller visitor’s car park finished in granite and also to the larger car park situated in the woodland area.
The paved courtyard extends right across the front of the main house providing plenty of outdoor seating and parasol shade with many Moroccan urns, potted plants and ornamental features.
